READING PAPER

READING, PART 1: PUBLIC SIGNS

In the first part of paper 1 (READING), you'll find five very short texts (they may be signs and messages, postcards, notes, emails, labels, etc.). You have to read them and choose which of the three sentences (A, B or C) is the best description of the text.

TIPS:
1.  Identify where the sign may be.
2. Read the sign carefully and try to PARAPHRASE its content in your own words.
3. Choose the right answer. Be careful with the DISTRACTORS, such as WORD GUESSING (choosing an option because it inclkudes the same word as in the sign); sometimes you'll have to pick the right answer BY ELIMINATION.

In this part of the test, a CORE VOCABULARY is necessary becuse it usually appears in many signs.
